Custom Order Policies: Suits
Reservations
A limited number of reservations are being accepted for the 2008 season. The starting price is $130, and includes
two colors/types of fabric.
Reservations are taken on a first come, first reserved basis. When you call to reserve a spot, have an estimate of
the number of suits that you will want to order. Early in the process I will need to know the date of the first meet that
you absolutely must have the suits. I will also try to deliver by the date that you would like to have your suits. We
will work together to come up with a date that accommodates you, me, and the other customers that we work with. (It
is the nature of the sport that everybody wants their costumes at the same time, so it helps if you are flexible.)
Designs
We can design; coaches, parents, or swimmers can design; or any combination thereof. If you are designing, we
may have to make some adjustments to the design to make it “work”. If you want us to design, please provide your
theme and/or your music. It helps if you have a general idea about what you are looking for—a color, a style,
anything that we can use as a starting point. Provide pictures of a design or clothing that you like and that “feels”
like your routine. Again, most anything can help.
I provide templates for you to design on. You can download one from www.up2par.biz, or have me email or fax one
to you. Make as many copies as you need and don’t worry if you don’t draw very well.
When we have narrowed down a design, I can send you swatches of fabrics as well as sequin and glitter samples,
so that you can choose each detail. I also carry a wide variety of crystals.
All designs that I create are my property and may not be used, whole or in part, without my permission. There is a
fee for my designs that are produced by someone else.
Cost and Payment
The cost for each suit will be estimated for your approval. You will pick as much or as little as you want and can
afford. If you want to do your own decorating, that, obviously, reduces the overall cost of the suit. This is a sample
of the menu of services and products.

All shipping (and tax if applicable) is paid by you and will be added when determined. Shipping is done by FedEx or
USPS Priority Mail, because they are fast, dependable, and trackable..
When the design and estimate are accepted, you will send a check or money order for 50% of the total as a
deposit. At that time, we will set a delivery date. The balance is due prior to shipping. A single check is required for
the total of the deposit and a single check is required for the balance. If you are dividing the cost amongst a
number of swimmers, you must deal with those individual payments.
In the event that a swimmer leaves the routine after the order is cut, the suit will be completed and shipped with the
rest of the order. You will own an extra suit (or more.)
The Suit
All suits are “synchro cut” unless otherwise specifically requested in advance. This will be high on the hip, but not to
expose the hipbone. They may be more snug than younger swimmers are used to wearing. Inform parents ahead
of time to prevent any surprises when the suits are delivered.
I provide measuring instructions with a diagram and ask for comments on any potential fitting issues. I cannot be
held responsible for problems that arise from incorrect measurements. Any alterations MAY incur alteration fees.
Orders
My relationship is with the club/routine. I will deal with the designated representative only. This representative will
serve as the liaison to the swimmers, coaches, parents, etc. Much confusion and many errors result when more
than one person is providing input. (Besides, I can’t sew when I’m talking, so it is in everyone’s best interest to limit
the conversations!)
Rush orders (less than four weeks) can occasionally be accommodated, but may incur a surcharge of $50 per suit.
You will also be responsible for additional costs incurred as a result of the rush order (i.e., rush shipping of fabric).
Costs will be estimated and agreed to before production begins.
Any changes to orders after the deposit is made will result in change fees. These will be discussed and quoted at
the time of any changes and will be based on individual circumstances.
All sales are final.
